Thanks for stopping by😄 I wanted to start a blog about the things I love most in my life. I’ll just quickly summarize the things I love most and why so you can get to know who I am and what this blog is all about.
First and foremost, I love God
I grew up in a Latter Day Saint family and have gone through different trials that made me feel like I didn’t need my Heavenly Father or I wasn’t good enough to ask for his help. But especially since having kids, I’ve learned that I can’t get through the day without Him. I know that He knows me personally and has a path for me that will bring me happiness in this life and the next as long as I choose Him every moment of every day. He helps me in so many ways every day. He gives me so much and asks so little in return. He is always with me and is willing me help me to succeed in everything I do as long as I listen to the Spirit that he speaks to me through. He is amazing and I will never be able to repay him for all he has done for me, and yet he will always love me unconditionally and I will always be enough to him.
Next, my Family<3 I have 2 beautiful daughters, they’re 2 and 4, and a handsome little step son who lives with his mommy. They are the light of my life and I live every day to try to be a better mom for them. My husband is so loving, giving, kind, and a total butthead sometimes, but I love him more than words can express. My husband is in the Navy and is gone lots, so it makes my life quite interesting/challenging. I work part-time but spent most of my time being a stay at home mother to my girls. I’m super excited about this blog and I plan to put in some real hours so that this blog can reach more people. I’m hoping it will educate and inform, strengthen, encourage, and empower others to live a happy and healthy life.
One of my passions is healthy/diet/food. I’ve dealt with self-esteem/body image issues and depression/anxiety since I was 13. I’ve found that eating healthy and caring about what’s going in my body makes a huge difference for how I feel about my body and how much happier I feel. I became really aware of my body after watching a documentary about food just after I had my second child. My daughter and I went gluten and dairy free, and vegan for a while, we juiced daily and I felt FANTASTIC. When my husband came home after being away for 9 months I got lazy about what I was eating and now I’m trying to get back on track to feeling good about what I’m eating again. My daughters and I love clean eating and baking/cooking at home together, but mostly the eating part.
One of my other loves is essential oils. I first heard about them many years ago a when I was pregnant with my first. I was taking a hypnobirthing class and my instructor sold dōTerra, but at the time I was not very “crunchy” so I thought she was crazy and wasting her money. Lol. When I was pregnant with my second, I became obsessed with doing anything naturally to prevent myself from having another caesarean birth. One of the things that were suggested were essential oils. I did my research and found some to use when I was having an anxiety attack or to help when I was down about the fact that my husband would be leaving for 9 months only a few weeks after I gave birth, and especially for during labor. I loved the smell and they helped, just not as much as I’d heard they could. So I did some more digging and read through different comparisons of brands and found that YOUNG LIVING. This blog outlines the difference between doTERRA and YL and makes it evident why I chose YL after using doTERRA oils for over a year. I found that my love of oils were rubbing off on my friends, so I signed up as a consultant so that I could share it with others at a great price. I love essential oils and use them daily for everything from cuts to colds to makeup. I am seriously in love and could talk about oils all day if you let me.
So now, if you have any questions about anything I mentioned, feel free to comment or message me. I’d love to write a post on something that’s suggested, such as “what essential oils help with anxiety” or “what’s a great breakfast that’s filling, yummy, and healthy?”. I love helping people, so I’d be more than happy to answer any questions😄
